The Door

Take me in
show me the door
through which I may
serve the LORD.
Spare me
these excuses.
Forbear you berate
me further
on it's importance.

I am already filled
with longing
to make God's name known.

take me in
show me the door

For a moment
let me forget,
how far away
you truly are.

Let me look up
into the night sky
and
see a shooting star.

Let me exchange
that one wish
for a kiss
and send it down to you.

For
these many miles
that separate us
don’t mean a thing to me
For
What I truly wish
is to be with you.
